Dylan Wade: The Case for a TEITO
Starting the "MY GUYS" series with the UCF tight end.
UCF is going to throw the ball to Dylan Wade.
And at this price, I’m betting on it.
He’s my most-drafted tight end this spring.
Follow the Targets
Start with the signal that actually matters.
Wade saw 60 targets last season, which ranked among the best in the country. That turned into:
43 catches
523 yards
5 touchdowns (team-high for UCF)
This isn’t projection. It already happened.
Among players returning to the same offense, only 2 tight ends cleared 43 receptions:
Terrance Carter of TT
Dylan Wade of UCF
That’s the list.
Now Layer in the Profile
Wade isn’t a boring inline tight end. MY GUYS never are.
He’s a 240-pound former quarterback, basketball star, and state champion in track and field.
He’s a red-zone weapon. An athlete. A mismatch.
My boy, @CFFroton, would call him a TEITO (Tight End In Title Only).
Wade wins like a receiver:
Wide alignments
Moves well in space
EATS high-value targets near the goal line
That’s how you lead your team in receiving touchdowns.
Some tight ends rely on scheme to generate volume: Wade creates his own.
Knights of the Future
The story gets even better.
UCF massively upgraded the quarterback position.
Alonza Barnett arrives after accounting for 38 total touchdowns last season. A dual-threat playmaker who isn’t afraid to push the ball down the field.
That’s a different profile than what Wade had in 2025. Tayven Jackson was efficient for UCF, but he averaged under 11 yards per throw.
Barnett forces defenses to stretch, and when that happens, mismatches show up.
Time 4 Action
Wade had an 84-yard TE last season.
Ask yourself: can your TE do that?
Draft the volume. Draft the profile. Draft the mismatch.
Draft MY GUY… Dylan Wade.
