Jordan Gant: Volume Turtle (TM)
I have more shares of this Akron RB than anyone else
Jordan Gant, Akron RB, is a certified VolumeTurtle™ VP
I loaded up early this spring.
Now? The market caught up.
And I might be out.
The Case for Gant
Start with the obvious: the dude gets fed.
17.8 carries per game (top‑20 nationally)
213 total carries — clear workhorse
Check the game log:
25 carries
28 carries
22 carries
22 carries
That’s not rotational usage.
That’s a coaching staff saying: This man is our offense.
Mr. November
Gant wasn’t just a full-season volume play.
He got better when it mattered.
November is time for the Fantasy Playoffs, and Gant made me some money last year.
ADP: Moving on up
This spring, I drafted Gant in the 9th or 10th round a bunch of times.
Those days are gone.
His ADP started at ~100th overall in Feb/March… but now he is a going before the end of round 5 in May/June. (FantasyPoints ADP)
That’s a full-blown market correction.
And I get it.
The dude ran for 1,032 yards, and he didn’t transfer up. Not many of those around.
Time 4 Action
Gant’s longest run last year was 36 yards. He had only three games with a 20+ yard rush. The receiving profile is thin too: 9 catches, 48 yards.
That’s why I’m not sure I want more shares in the 5th round.
In Round 10, I’ll buy a MAC VolumeTurtle™ all day.
In Round 5?
Now I need more.
